Visitors from more than 50 countries attended
the exhibition
Special exhibition Wood and Bioenergy 2007
gathered about 9 000 visitors
About 9 000 professionals attended the Wood and
Bioenergy 2007 special exhibition which closed on Saturday. The
exhibition was arranged at the Congress and Trade Fair Centre Jyväskylä
Paviljonki. The exhibition director, Petteri Räsänen from Jyväskylä Fair
Ltd. is satisfied with the offering and tells that especially the
exhibitor feedback was very pleasing:
”The exhibitors were very satisfied and the
atmosphere at Jyväskylä Paviljonki was extremely positive throughout the
entire exhibition. Big deals have been made and signed during these
days, of which a several million euros planing mill deal between Waco
Jonsered AB and Koskinen Oy can be mentioned as an example," Räsänen
relates.
”The exhibition also gained more
internationality: the visitors came from over 50 different countries and
particularly our marketing efforts to Russia turned out to be very
fruitful. A great number of Russian groups visited us, and the next time
we will certainly invest even more in the Russian marketing," Räsänen
explains.
This year the Wood and Bioenergy exhitibion days
were from Thursday to Saturday. Based on the visitor and exhibitor
survey, a decision will be made whether the opening times or days need
be changed for the following exhibition.
The supplementary events were also very
successful and attracted a lot of public. The exhibitors were
particularly satisfied with the themed events Puumarkkinapäivä,
Puusta-päivä and Puu-päivä. Based on the exhibitor feedback, moving the
external stand to the Exhibition Market, which is a more central
location, was a successful decision.
The Bioenergy exhibition will be moved to another
hall for the next event, because A hall was not sufficient for all
exhibitors who would have liked to be there.
Petteri Räsänen tells: ”Many exhibitors have
already reserved stands for the following Wood and Bioenergy exhibition,
which will be arranged at the Congress and Trade Fair Centre Jyväskylä
Paviljonki in September 2009. One company has invited me to a
corresponding event in Göteborg next year for signing a contract for the
following exhibition in Jyväskylä."
